ANOTHER BROWN COP-OUTSaturday July 5,2008 THE failure of Gordon Brown to participate in this week’s Commons vote on reforming MPs’ expenses speaks volumes about our Prime Minister. A good leader would have understood that the public’s disaffection with the political process is reaching dangerous proportions and appreciated the need to set an example on a key issue concerning financial propriety.
Instead Mr Brown ducked out, allowing dozens of ministers to join a disgraceful uprising against recommended changes to lavish parliamentary allowances. Make no bones about it – this man is quite simply the worst prime minister in Britain’s history. |
