Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker, Lee Perry and The Maytals were the stars most responsible for the early reggae sound.

In late Sixties Britain, the music was beloved of skinheads and later on punks. Trojan - the first label to really spread the reggae word in the UK - have devoted a disc to each artist, featuring hits and obscurities.
