The A-lister commands millions but admits her ideal role would be in one of Leigh’s low-budget dramas.

Salford-born Leigh, 65, has never cast a big name in his films, choosing instead home-grown talents like Imelda Staunton and Brenda Blethyn and unknowns such as Sally Hawkins, who starred in Vera Drake and Happy-Go-Lucky.

“I think Mike Leigh is amazing,” gushes Nicole, 41, expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban. “For me, Secrets And Lies is his best film.”
