Dundee United reckon striker Noel Hunt is in the £1 million class.

Wee Irishman Hunt, who scored 18 for the Arabs last season, has now become a close-season target for English clubs.

Hunt is about to enter the last year of his Tannadice contract, but United wouldn't entertain such a low offer.

"And I can confirmed we have not received any firm offers for any of our players."

It's unlikely there would be any family reunion for Noel at the Madjeski Stadium as his brother, Reading raider Stephen, is wanted by Sunderland.

Reading, of course, dropped down into the Championship after losing their fight to stay in the Premier League.
