An MP will meet a senior official from the Prison Officers Association (POA) after a report raised concerns about the activities of Muslim prisoners at a top-security jail housing some of Britain's most dangerous criminals.

The report, produced by a team of Prison Service investigators, said the high number of Muslim inmates at Whitemoor Prison near March, Cambridgeshire, made some staff "anxious and apprehensive".

It called for an "intelligence assessment" of possible Muslim prisoner "activities".

Malcolm Moss, Conservative MP for North East Cambridgeshire, said he wanted to meet a Whitemoor POA official within the next few weeks.

Mr Moss said many prison staff had raised concerns about Whitemoor in recent months but he was not aware of problems with Muslim inmates.

"I was due to meet the head man from the POA in the next few weeks. This will now be on the agenda," he said.

"I have had a number of people who work at the prison come to see me in recent months with a number of problems - mainly relating to their contracts. I gather morale there is pretty low."

The report said Whitemoor staff "appeared reluctant" to challenge "inappropriate behaviour" for fear of "doing the wrong thing" and prison officers felt that they lacked control.

Prison campaign group The Howard League for Penal Reform said the report raised "extremely disturbing" issues and called for "urgent" action.

This whole scene unfolding in our prisons is yet another symptom of our national neutering. The weaknesses caused by the subconscous fear of treading on the toes of "political correcness". The Muslim prisoners should be told quite firmly that they will obey the rules, or get shoved into solitary confinement untill they do. These rules have been in place for eons, so tell the officers to enforce them and stop whinging.

We have to be the laughing stock of the world
when one read's yet another appeasement
incident.
Only one alternative, either repeal the Human Rights laws, or SHOOT THEM!!!!

Well there you all go, this is what happens to a Christian country when the values that once everyone adhered too get lost amongst the crap being developed by the lunatic do gooders and liberal loonies out there!

Why are we adhering to the human rights of these people when all they want to do is destroy each and every one of us......

Other European countries on the continent have overridden the Human Rights Act to put these people in their place so the question we need to ask ourselves is why haven't we?????

What is so crucial that this justice system and government are constantly putting our lives at risk and wouldn't think twice about the death of the British common person.

Anyway why haven't half of these people who aren't even British citizens been deported back to their own countries and yet this so called British government think its OK to constantly put our lives at risk...what Imbeciles would allow for the total destruction of its own people and country?

WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.!!!!

Public opinion shows quite rightly that people regardless of race, colour, creed or religion that are found guilty of such heinous crimes against humanity relinquish all of their so called rights. In the ideal worls they would find that their last resting place would be at the end of the hangmans rope. That is what we the overall majority think and belive. However we all know that this wishy washy government does not have the stomach for such justice, and in all fairness subsiquent government will probably follow the same policy. But that does not mean that we have to house these troublesome aliens and unwanted visitors to this country.
I am all for allowing law abiding immigrants ( Our laws that is) to enjoy living in this country, but when they overstep the mark and show that they do not want to live by our laws then we should at the least have the guts to send them home, back to where they belong. Incidentally I beleive that to be the case for indiginous British people as well, if they break laws in other countries then they should be sent home to take their punishment.
I find it quite amazing that we have such factions in this country all shouting how bad we all are and what a bad place this country is and how they want to campaign with terror to have their own way. Well if it is so bad here the answer is simple go back to where you came from. If its so great where they originate from then why stay here, why not go back as ts so much better? Law abiding citizens of the world are welcome on these shores, they give our lives an added dimension that is priceless. However extreemists and fundamentalists hell bent on a wave of terror and destruction are not welcome and should be dealt with the scant regard that they show others.
