HARRY POTTER STAR MURDERED

Story Image

By Geoff Marsh for express.co.uk

A TEENAGE ACTOR set to star in the latest Harry Potter film has been stabbed to death - the latest victim of mob-rule Britain.

Robert Knox, 18, had just finished work on Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, which is due to be released later this year.

In the film he plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby.

He was stabbed to death in a fight outside a bar in leafy Sidcup, Kent, early this morning.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, south east London, where he was pronounced dead. Four other men were also hurt in the fight.

A 21-year-old man who suffered facial injuries was arrested on suspicion of murder after being discharged from hospital. He is currently in custody.

Rob’s parents Colin and Sally released a statement tonight.

It read: "Rob was kind and thoughtful and would always help out others - he would always spend his last penny on other people instead of himself.

"The life and soul of the party, he was very outgoing, loved sports, and would always strike up a conversation with people.

"He was respectful to others and adored by all his family and friends. He was asset to the family."

Warner Bros spokeswoman added: “We are deeply saddened and shocked by this news and at this time our sympathies are with his family.”

Mr Knox's cousin, Vicky May, 16, said he was more like her big brother.

She said: “You never think it will happen to you. Rob wasn’t a thug, it wasn’t gang-related. Everyone loved him. He was more like a brother, he would always look out for me. He was friends with so many people.”

Vicky was enjoying a night out when she was told her cousin had been stabbed.

Relatives travelled with him in the ambulance whilst she went home to care for her younger brother.

Mr Knox, 18, had a younger brother, Jamie.

Vicky said: “They were like one.”

Friend Liberty Butcher said: “He would never start an argument. He would have been the one to stick up for someone. He had so much going for him.”

Rob was formerly a pupil at Beths Grammar School.

Rob’s friend Tom Hopkins, 18, who plays football for Southend United youth team, pinned down a man armed with a knife outside the bar with the help of friend Tarik Ozress, 17.

The pair wrestled with him for several minutes before police arrived.

Tom was stabbed in the head during the struggle.

He said: “Rob was just trying to help out. He was like that. I grabbed the knife, I didn’t know at the time that he had another knife. It was just chaos.”

Friends said Rob and younger brother Jamie were trying to protect each other during the fight.

They said there had been a row over a phone last week and they believe this could have been revenge attack.

During the fight Nick Jones, 19, was also stabbed in the hand and Charlie Grimley, 17 was stabbed in the cheek and arm.

Flowers have been piled where the teenager died.

One tribute read: “The flowers will die, the sun will set, you are someone I will never forget.”

Rob told in a newspaper interview in 2004 about how he had coped with bullying at a previous school.

He revealed that he had been picked on which had resulted in him moving to Beths Grammar school.

He said that for three years he had been the victim of a bullying campaign.

He said: “I am totally different now. I used to be so unconfident because of my weight and the bullying. But nothing gets to me now.

“I have always been quite a chubby child but it wasn’t until I went to Secondary School that I got bullied for it.

“I tried not to let it get to me but it hurt. I was at a new school and was really trying to make new friends but there was a group of ten boys who made it impossible.

“The bullying got so bad I dreaded going into school. They used to push me and beat me up in the corridor or outside in the school grounds.

“I started really hating myself. I didn’t like what I saw.”

ANOTHER WASTED LIFE

26.06.08, 2:08pm

I couldn't agree more with cstevens (Elephant in the drawing room).

We have the same criminals in Canada's largest cities. Following Britain and the politically correct we're not allowed to say black crime. The public knows different.

Here's a case of a brave young man defending his brother and he's murdered by another one of them. He will look forward to going to jail which may be the nicest home he's ever lived in.

Time to hire some politicians with guts. It may be too late.

THE ELEPHANT IN THE DRAWING ROOM

26.05.08, 7:36pm

Those who state Britain is in the grip of an epidemic of Knife crime are either ignorant or out to purposelessly deceive.

A glance of the names, and the description of the perpetrators (the latter often omitted by the National media), show the majority of these crimes are committed by Non-Whites.

Until the the National media and the Politicians, stop ignoring the Elephant in the Drawing room, which is obvious the rest of us, and take measure to halt and reverse the 'Diversity' found in our cities, things will only get worse.

We do not have have knife problem, we have a RACE problem.

It seems every day our young people are murdered.
There is a crisis in our police force.
And a worse crisis in our "justice system".
When will this govt realise what needs to be done ?
Are we already so ruled by Europe that we can not make our own decisions anymore ?

SINCE MY EARLIER POST.......ANOTHER 16 YEAR OLD LAD HAS BEEN FOUND MURDERED IN NOTTINGHAM

26.05.08, 10:43am

Mob-rule Britain it certainly is.

Nobody else is remotely bothered in ruling Britain.

There will be serious trouble ahead if Dictator Prudence U-Turn Brown remains as unelected leader.

SONGBIRD YOU ASK IS THERE ANYONE IN CHARGE

25.05.08, 10:00pm

A great question
I think the answer is errrr... no .
Because of the "Human rights act " and the politically correct society we inhabit no one is prepared to stick their neck out and say "Hang on a minute".
We all leave it to the next person.
This country, its leaders, and its system is a joke !
Whatever happened to common sense ?
Gone with the wind.
And no one gives a damn.

SINCE THIS TALENTED YOUNG LAD WAS MURDERED, TWO MORE PERSONS HAVE BEEN KILLED ON THE STREETS OF ENGLAND BY THUGS

25.05.08, 7:28pm

Do you think Dictator Prudence U-Turn Brown could care less?

This country is finished.

It is no longer safe to walk on the street in broad daylight.

Where are the Police? There aren't any available.

Where is our Referendum on the EU? Get lost.

WHY do we allow those muppets in the House of Conmen to walk all over us - ripping us off every day?

Enoch Powell was right, all those years ago.

God help our children in the future.
