DOES BROWN DESERVE A PASTING FROM VOTERS?

Story Image

Black day for Brown?

Thursday May 1,2008

GORDON Brown is today braced for a devastating backlash as voters get their first chance to deliver a verdict on his premiership.

The Prime Minister -  who snatched the keys to Number 10 without a Labour leadership contest or a general election - faces his first electoral test today.

Privately, Labour insideres expect the party could lose more than 200 councillors in a punishing response from voters to Mr Brown's blunder-hit first 10 months in his job.

More than 4,000 council seats are up for grabs in today's town hall polls in England and Wales.

** So do you think Brown deserves a pasting from voters today?

** What's your view on his premiership so far?
