SHOULD BRITAIN PUT A TOTAL STOP ON IMMIGRATION?

MIGRANT MECCA: Immigrants are flooding an English town

Wednesday April 23,2008

By Tom Whitehead

ONE in four people now living in an English town are from Eastern Europe because of the “scale and pace of change” from immigration, Communities Secretary Hazel Blears revealed yesterday.

A quarter of the population of Boston, in Lincolnshire, are migrant workers and their families, who have flocked there from Poland and its former Eastern Bloc neighbours.

It is believed to be the highest proportion of migrants in any town or city in the country and is a sign of the huge impact Labour’s open door policy has had on our communities.

It came as a report from a Government-backed Community Development Foundation revealed “new patterns of racial prejudice” are emerging between settled migrants and newcomers.

Tensions even centre on competition over “race equality” resources, MPs were told.

The Foundation also said it was “unrealistic” to expect migrants to adopt a national sense of belonging – a blow to Gordon Brown’s push on citizenship.

Last night Sir Andrew Green, chairman of Migrationwatch, said: “It is incredible that the Government’s immigration policy should be so out of control as to permit such a massive transformation of an English town.”

Ms Blears was giving evidence to the Communities and Local Government Select Committee. One member, Tory MP Anne Main, said: “Part of the problem is we did not see this coming. It was not predicted and funding was not in place. The figures were totally unanticipated.”

It was all “too fast, too quick” for communities to deal with, she added.

Boston Council estimates its population at 70,000, meaning about 17,500 are from Eastern Europe.

Do YOU think Britain should put a total stop on immigration? Should English towns be flooded with Eastern Europeans?

I could tell you who the worst offenders are and why but no doubt my comment would be deleted or I would be banned for fear of "offending someone"

As I stated " I used to work in a bank"

Since then I have done several training courses.
One of them in food hygiene.
I dont really need to explain myself.
I have this informatiom from food hygiene inspectors. They tell me that the incidence of food poisoning is rising and is linked to the rise of immigrant employees !
This information may not be in the public domain for fear of "offending anyone".

How nice it must be to live in your bubble.Where everything is rosy and everyone is happy and everyone believes everything that the govt tells them.Crime is falling, multiculturism works, immigration is good for the country and terrorism is not a muslim issue.I beg to differ with everything you have ever had printed on this site.No way do you live in the same country as i do.Either that or you walk about with blinkers on. Stop immigration now and beef up the security on our borders to repulse the illegals.

BANK

16.05.08, 6:26pm

what kind of bank employs a food hygenist?

anyway, new bacteria in food related to immigrants? how so?

surely food poisoning comes either from:

1. bacteria in food (like samonella), that multiplies when it is not stored or cooked properly. In such a case, the importation of food may bring in 'new' bacteria endemic in the meat, but that has nothing to do with immigrants, but the meat iself, and where is comes form.

2. employees who do not follow proper hygene. in which case, the bacteria of the envronment around them (stomach bugs from fecal matter, for example) gets into the food and multiplies, infecting the consumer. in such a case, i can't see how they are brining any 'new' bugs since immigrants live in the same 'envoronment' that we do (the UK). they breathe the same air, roll around in the same dirt, ect, as we do.

3. Animal and insect infestation. once again, if the food is manufactured in britian, they will be british rats, roaches, mice, and once again nothing to do specifically with 'immigrants' (unless they are bringing thier pet spider monkey to work or something, which seems unlikely).

so if you could enlighten me further with some evidence, that would be interesting.

Immigrants are bringing in diseases.
I have said this before I know but food poisoning is on the rise in the UK and is directly related to the rise of immigrants working in the industry.
This is a fact CFB and this fact is known by the food industry and the inspectors that have to carry out rigorous checks in the industry. Swabs have turned up all sorts of bacteria previously unknown in the UK.
I am trained in food hygiene and so I am not just giving my opinion.
