POLICE have arrested 12 suspects after the murder of Liverpool schoolboy Rhys Jones.
Nine women and three men are being held by Merseyside Police after 100 swooped on properties across Rhys’ home town of Croxeth at dawn today.
The 11-year-old pupil bled to death after being shot outside a pub on his way home from football practice in Croxteth, Liverpool, on August 22 last year.
It is thought he was hit by mistake in an attack between two rival gangs.
Two teens aged 16 and 17, along with two men in their twenties, were arrested on suspicion of murdering the young football fan eight months ago.

LETS HOPE THIS IS IT

Living down the road from both were Rhys was killed, and where the people arrested live I hope that they have finally found out who did this to the poor kid. For his familys sake I hope it is brought to an end now, but there have been many other false hopes.
The problem has been that although everyone in the area has known who has done it there has been a lack of solid evidence. Well lets hope that has changed.
Another problem however is the police prescence. Everyone knows where the scum lives round here and where they hang out, but will you find the police round there? No. You will find them strolling through the park at mid day when the old people are taking their dog for a walk. Apart from the first few weeks when all the tv news people were here it has gone back to normal
