UK NEWSPREGNANT MAN: THE 'MIRACLE' OF HAVING A BABYSaturday April 5,2008 By Padraic FlanaganPregnant man Thomas Beatie always dreamed of having a “miracle” baby, he revealed yesterday. In his first television interview, Thomas said he wept “tears of joy” after seeing his unborn baby girl during an ultrasound scan, and told how he deliberately kept his female reproductive organs in case he wanted children. The 34-year-old appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show with his wife Nancy Roberts to tell the world about their incredible pregnancy. Thomas, who used to be known as Tracy Lagondino, told the US chat show host that expecting a baby did not make him feel any less of a man. He was born a girl, in Hawaii, but realised he wanted to be a man during his college years and began taking testosterone injections to change his gender. But the expectant father told Oprah: “I opted not to do anything to my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day. I didn’t know how, it was just a dream, there was no plan laid out. “I have a very stable male gender identity. I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn’t define who I am. “I feel like it’s not a male or female desire to have a child, it’s a human desire. I’m a person and I have a right to have my own biological child.” The show filmed footage of Thomas and Nancy, 45, at their home in Oregon and going to the hospital for a scan. The couple, who began dating in 1998 – when Thomas was still a woman – have started buying clothes and toys for their baby. Thomas and Nancy struggled to find a doctor who would help them with their unusual pregnancy, but eventually found Kimberly James. “As soon as I met Thomas and Nancy, I thought they were a very devoted couple,” Dr James said. “They deserve quality medical care, just like everybody else. This baby’s totally healthy and this is, I consider, a normal pregnancy.” Thomas said he expected the world to be stunned. “I think people will be shocked because no one’s ever heard of a man giving birth before.” “I guess it’s a shock in context, but in this day and age it’s possible. “I think that different is normal and love makes a family,” Thomas added. “That’s all that matters.” Nancy joked: “I bet a lot of women would like to have their husbands pregnant.”

Some labour supporters are so blinkered, that if McStalin walked around town with a jack russel stuck on a bayonet, they would find justification for it.
You simply cannot reason with these leftie eedjits, they are ibncapable of seeing that their time, came and went 50 years ago.
You'll grow out of it my son, let's just hope that you don't inflict too much damage before you grow up and see the light.
Socailism does'nt work,geddit?

My 'children' are 26 & 24 and two more well adjusted, reasonable anti-bullying individuals you will never come across. They and I would stand up for anyone in just about any situation ,BUT that does not mean you do away with what is naturally right and wrong. I would not wish any harm on this pair of individuals and do indeed wish them joy BUT that does not make the situation right. This female had her wish (and probably caused a great deal of pain in doing so to her family & friends), and became a man, now he is abusing that position.
No matter what WE all want there is still right and wrong. We have become too tolerant to the detriment of that fact.

Jac16 I have no problem with the traditional family, in fact I would love it if every family was the mum, dad, two kids and a dog but be realistic that is never going to happen.
Surely it would be better to have two loving parents than none at all. And to make it clear I never actually called you a bigot, I said it is comments like that that will lead to bigotry from you children as they become less understanding of other children in that situation. That is my point. If you were to make your children understanding than there would be no bullying.

NO actually it is people like ME that is trying to protect children and REALLY make sure they have what is provided by nature, a real Mum and Dad, in a traditional (I know, dirty word) family that has proved over the centuries to be the best setup for all children.
It is people like YOU that is trying to twist the truth to your own ends and 'make' situations that only benefit YOU and what YOU want.
As for me being the one trying to impose my 'bigotry' on others, talk about kettle and pot! As usual you and the leftie pc brigade always get personal when you can't make your arguement stand up, A BIGOT am I, well I'll accept that as the dictionary states it is someone with strong beliefs, which I have, I will not let you and your 'anything goes' brigade twist what is fundamentally right or wrong!

Actually Jac16 the council in Liverpool is actully Lib Dem at the moment. And if anything they have hampered the progress being made because they are useless with finances.
h and I am absolutely sure that a child would like to grow with no parents what so ever. You underestimate what effect two loving parent can have no matter what. It is people like you who will lead to children becoming bigots because you will not accept people with different ideals than yours.
Fine lead your life that way, dont impose it on the rest!
