HAS LABOUR PUT BRITAIN ON THE BREADLINE?

Darling is accused of being "out of touch"

Monday March 24,2008

BRITONS face a £20billion pension black hole – because they are ditching savings plans in a desperate attempt to meet the soaring cost of living, it emerges today.

Nearly 10 per cent of workers expect to pause, reduce or even stop paying into pensions this year.

Millions are facing a stark choice between saving for their future – or paying for the present.

Rising mortgages and problems caused by the credit crunch are squeezing personal finances while massive rises in bills and food are crippling many families.

But experts fear that cutting pension payments now will store up a savings timebomb for the future – while at the same time warning that a long-term break in contributions could soon turn into the norm for many.

Is there a savings timebomb looming on the horizon?

Is Labour losing it's grip on finance?

GET THEM OUT!

12.04.08, 12:13pm

While this government are forcing the Bank of England to rescue banks who have put their cashflow in jeopardy by mismanagement on an epic scale (e.g. Northern Rock) to the tune of billions of pounds, the scrapping of the 10P tax band announced last year is taking effect. This is condemning young and single low paid workers plus a majority of pensioners to higher taxation on their already meagre incomes, with no conceivable balancing benefit. It is Gordon Brown; bereft of any constructive idea as to how to run an economy, who who has been responsible for this. It seems to indicate that he has even forgotten which party he is supposed to belong to. As for Alistair Darling he is a gutless and witless nonentity.

TO FLYER

10.04.08, 2:35am

All the best with your emigration. I can heartily recommend it & have absolutely no regrets - only relief. Bit of a big hassle initially, particularly if you are established, but soon over. Make sure you pick a country out of the EU though. We also left the UK, thankfully with no mortgage, 2 professional jobs and 2 young kids. We couldn't envisage saving much if anything for the future, inspite of these apparently healthy financial circumstances on paper, in the long run as the EU beast will drain us all to bankruptcy (paying for its exorbitant high level corruption). We dreaded raising the kids there too. You are absolutely correct in the UK being a police state - it can only worsen sadly. Communism and Stahlinism will be nothing compared to what will come.

Check out www.eutruth.org.uk for an insight into the UK's future in the EU - should be enough to wake anyone up from the dead! Pass on to others!

They obviously have but tjere must be some underlying motive behind this.No government can destroy a country from within so blatantly without some devious reason. We were all taken in by this lot because the Major era of incompetence and corruption was something we did not want repeated but what we have is even worse.Major set the bench mark showing just how much MPs can get away with.I imagine the selling out of this country is to do with Bliar and Incapability Brown somehow controlling Europe.Selling England out is a small price to pay, if you can be President of Europe. We have borought this on ourselves by being so complacent
