HARRY KEEN ON MORE MILITARY ACTION

Prince Harry steps off the plane at RAF Brize Norton

Sunday March 2,2008

Prince Harry flew back into Britain after being pulled out of his frontline deployment to Afghanistan - and revealed he is keen to go back soon.

He said he was "disappointed" at being forced to come home early after foreign websites broke a media blackout on reporting details of his service in Helmand Province.

But the Household Cavalry officer - who is now set to be promoted to a full Lieutenant next month - said he had a "fantastic" experience and hoped to see military action again.

"I would love to go back out and I've already mentioned it to (my Commanding Officer) that I want to go out very, very soon," he said.

Harry, 23, landed at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on an RAF Tristar troop transporter on Saturday. He was reunited with his father, the Prince of Wales, and his brother, Prince William.

Charles said he was "enormously proud" of his son, adding that he now understood what the families and loved ones of soldiers endured while they were serving abroad.

The flight first touched down in Birmingham so that two seriously injured soldiers could be taken to Selly Oak Hospital, where British military casualties are treated.

Harry, a Blues and Royals "Cornet" or Second Lieutenant in the Household Cavalry, spoke of his admiration for the wounded men, who were hit by a landmine in Helmand.

Looking tired and drained minutes after stepping off the flight, he said: "I wouldn't say I'm a hero. There were two injured guys who came back on the plane with us.

"Those are the heroes, those were guys who had been blown up by a mine that they had no idea about, serving their country, doing a normal patrol." Reflecting on his 10-week tour of duty in a sombre interview, Harry described the bravery of his fellow soldiers as "humbling".

WHY

02.03.08, 7:48am

are there 6 articles on this one individual, who did not complete his tour of duty, and yet 1 small article on a hero who died in this governments illegal war?
Send him back. He probably arranged the leak himself as he was missing his clubbing.

GIVE HIM A NEW NAME AND SEND TO FIGHT WITH THE OTHERS

02.03.08, 2:30am

Give him a new name and let him go fight same as other soldiers with no extra protection or contact, after a couple of years he will be worthy of praise, until then it is the other lads that need the praise.
