GORDON BROWN'S private pollster has admitted that voters resent new immigrants flooding into Britain.

Deborah Mattison has warned that many believe new arrivals get preferential treatment or are putting a massive burden on housing, schools and doctors.

She said immigration is a “vortex issue” that sucks in voters’ fears about pressure on key public services.

Her disclosure comes after a Home Office poll last month revealed that 77 per cent of Britons have lost all confidence in Labour’s ability to control immigration.

of very nice decent Muslims in this country. I can't argue with that logic.

But as Abuela has said on another thread, their first loyalty is to their religion.

The very fact that the British Muslim Council do not decry acts of terrorism, says it all to me.

If they *did* do that, and some Muslim people marched in London to protest against terrorism, rather than their usual effigy and flag burning, people may feel safer in their communities.

It is the deafening silence by Muslims that concerns me.

Funny though, how HE is in the minority on here!

It is a great pity that he regained the will to live to come back on here and bore the liver out of the rest of us.

The only people to spout pro-Muslim nonsense on here is him together with NFSH and LHH.

The biggest laugh of all is the fact that Muslims are THE most racist lot of people, they HATE the west and its people, so if those nuggets think they are being clever by defending the Muslims, well ha ha.

Muslims will detest them, just as they do the rest of us. Muslims hate other Muslims, and kill each other without any remorse, so why would they feel anything towards vegancommie etc., BUT hate?? They are from the West..... i.e. infidels.

...I don't particularly seek to defend Islam, there is plenty to criticise there, I just object to the vilification and sterotyping of Muslim people. Is that hard to understand?

Muslims are taught to believe that the koran was DICTATED to mohammad,and is the unalterable word of allah (except when allah alters it) They are also taught to believe that mohammad was the most perfect example of mankind and his behaviour must be emulated. He was a warlord,mysogonist,murderer,slave owner rapist,thief, and "Married "a 6 year old child whilst in his 50's. Can't you find a more worthy cause to defend?

Actually Sandie, I'm you, or rather you are me. You're a character I dreampt up in order to discredit fascism by spouting nonsense on internet forums.

Ok. Some basic principles. Defending Muslim people against oppression and insults is not actually the same as supporting Islam ok? I'm really not a big fan of any organised religion but I don't like to see some beaten up/abused/repeatedly accused of being a terrorist just because of a religious belief I don't happen to share.

It was the same back in the 70s/80s/90s when people would commonly equate Irish Catholics with the IRA. That wasn't acceptable then and it isn't acceptable to do it to Muslims now.

Now, the only reason it could be said that a comparison with Christianity is a lazy one is because it is spectacularly easy to make. Misogynist? Anglicans may now have women priests but there is still a large part that won't accept them and are given special provision. And of course the Roman catholic religion still won't allow it at all. Homophobic? Erm, the Anglican Church is on the verge of splitting down the middle over allowing gay priests. We could go on...

Christianity neutered? I don't think so. The UK Head of State is the head off the Anglican Church, Bishops sit in the House of Lords just because they are bishops, sectarian divide in Ireland (including the terrorism from decades past which we mentioned earlier) and, to a lesser extent, Scotland. What about the neo con movement in the US, all in the payroll of the Christian right, not to mention the anti abortion activists/terrorists that claim to have God on their side. And the Roman Catholic Church still does have a very big say in many people's lives in comtinental Europe.

Whereas most Muslims are no more fundamentalist or in favour of terrorism than the average family who would call themselves Christians. Both the Qoran and the Bible have their fair share of brutally nasty stuff and homophobic Christians are just as quick to wield out Sodom and Gomorrah in order to support their bigotry. However, both moderate Christians and Muslims realise that an awful lot of both books were very much written 'of their time' and not to be taken literally. The ones who pick out and emphasis the nasty stuff such as the subjugation of women are just people who have their own agendas and you can find those in any group of people.

Really, if you actually knew any Muslim people you'd know this.

Most of the time the MSM refer to muslims as Asians, much to the disgust of Hindus and the rest of non muslim Asians.
Did you hear about Abu Waleed? At the London School of Shariah (God help us) telling his co-religionists, inbetween jokes about muslims taking backpacks on the London Underground system, how to cheat the benefit system? Walk with a limp, he advised his eager listeners,just incase someone was filming them. He should have listened to his own advice, as someone filmed him!
Isolated incident,or has he been corrupted by us Brits and adopted some of our ways?
No, just being a good muslim and taking his koran sanctioned jizyah.
