THE Archbishop of Canterbury today defended his comments that Britain should adopt some aspects of Muslim Sharia law by saying that it was not “inappropriate” for him to address the issues.

Speaking to the General Synod in Westminster today, Rowan Williams acknowledged that a “misleading” choice of words had led to some distress and misunderstanding within the public.

Addressing criticism over an interview in which he said adopting aspects of Sharia law in Britain "seems unavoidable," Dr Williams added that he strongly believed that it was not “inappropriate” for him to address the issues.

He said: “I believe quite strongly that it is not inappropriate for a pastor of the Church of England to discuss the perceived concerns of other religious communities and try to bring them into better public focus.”

During his opening remarks to the General Synod, the Archbishop said he took responsibility for “any unclarity in either that text or radio interview” or “any misleading choice of words that has helped cause distress or misunderstanding among the public at large and especially among my fellow Christians."

He went on to express his gratitude to members of the synod who had given him their support over the weekend.

Earlier today Gordon Brown paid tribute to the “great integrity” and “dedication” of the Archbishop of Canterbury following his remarks that Britain should adopt some aspects of Muslim Sharia law.

The Archbishop of Canterbury was accused of surrendering to Muslim extremists last Thursday by calling for Islamic sharia law to rule in parts of Britain.

Dr Rowan Williams claimed incorporating aspects of the Muslim legal system into UK law was “unavoidable” and “appropriate” and said believers should not have to choose between “the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty”.

RobertoCarlo if the arch Bishop should take a biblical stand on the subject of homsexuality, I would be supporting him. His stance on homosexuality, lesbianism, gay, bisexuality, trans-sexuality are all in direct violation of the biblica teaching that it is devious, heinous,absurd,weird,abomination and despicably vile.

We need to thank God for Africa and places like Nigeria you referred to, for being strong against this malaise, decandence of homosexuality plague and is a curse on an apostate church from God, which has led to the death of the church of England.

In Nigeria their can never be compromise between darkness and light as the arch Bishop whose position on issue such as the Niqab, Koran, Sharia and place of Islam in modern Britain has become untenable and must go.

Let me declare to you that Homosexuality is evil, abominable and those who practices it, as the religion of peace is pracitced today are going to hellfire if they fail to repent, renounce it and surrender to the one and only Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

May God give you the peace of the Prince of Peace who died on the cross of calvary in other to deliver sinners and homosexuals from the danger of Hellfire.

Time is overdue to get rid of this confused, deranged spiritual prostitute who has abused his exalted position to discreet Christianity in this land.
He is worst than the nineteen Islamic terrorists who flew planes into TWC in 11/09/2001, because those Islamic terrorists are at least faithful to their religion and Mohammed and Koran that called for cutting of throat and destruction of Christians, Jews and other unbelievers who refused to submit to Islam and Mohammed. These nineteen terrorist were faithful to Allah. This man is an unfaithful man; he has betrayed the Lord Jesus Christ. He is incapable of bringing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, redemption and reconciliation with God the almighty father and his Son Jesus Christ.

He had trampled upon the blood of Jesus Christ by which if a penitent, humble and contrite sinner repents of his sins and by faith applies that blood on the alter of their heart they would experience God’s love and forgiveness. And since he is incapable of fulfilling these basic doctrinal salvation and sanctification through the blood of eternal redemption, he should be fired now. He has lost his calling to be a true, faithful minister of the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ

This man is worst than Osama Bin Laden and Mullar Omar of the Taliban. I hereby plead with USA authority to treat this recalcitrant, rebellious, wicked man dressed up as a minister of Christ as a terrorist since he provides comfort and solace to Islamic terrorism, he should never be given visa under any circumstances to fly to US. He is a terrorists and he is evil bent on annoying Christianity in Britain. I think he should be deported to Saudi Arabia where would have the freedom to practice Islam without interference from anyone.

He is a shame and a disgrace to the whole of Anglican Community and they should initiate a massive demonstration to force this shameless, arrogant man out from COE, since he would not resign honourably.

This is an anti-Christ, a Satanist, and a devil cult worshipper. He is a suicide terrorist since, his support Islamic terrorism that murders women, children, and men in shopping malls in Israel by his criticism of Israeli government action in building a fence to protect the victims of terror against Islamic terrorism. He did not condemn an Islamic terrorist leader of Iran who called for the destruction of the Jewish state by a sudden storm. Get rid of this man from his Bishop's prick

He is quite shameless and his arrogance is breath taking in his futile attempt to clarify his idiotic foolish hollow speech. This man could be a secret Alqa-eda ambassador within the fallen apostate COE, who has refused to dismiss this vile Bishop, who has undermined Christianity to its foundation by destruction of basic doctrinal Biblical doctrines on which is the centrality of the gospel message.

He is not born again as Jesus Christ demanded from Nicodemus, he does not possess the spirit of Christ as a consequence he has the spirit of anti-Christ like Islam which denies the Son ship and deity of Jesus Christ.

Islam denies that Christ was crucified and resurrected on the third day so does the Arch Bishop Dr Rowan William.

Islam denies the fact that Jesus is the way to God and heaven so also the arch Bishop, as he believes that Mohammed and Jesus are both ways to eternal life, hence, his hypothesis for the inevitability of Sharia in England, since both ways are the means to God

Islam does not believe that through the blood of Jesus Christ if a sinner approach God in penitence contriteness and sincerity for the remission of one's sin the sinner can be forgiven so also does the arch Bishop as he has no sermon for the sinner to come to God through Jesus Christ, instead he believes in just accepting all the teachings of other religions like Islam so as to appease the Islamic terrorists not to bomb Britain. He is a dry tree and a well without water consequently he is bereft of the gospel of grace and salvation

I am disappointed in the General Synod of the COE in not impeaching and removing this arch enemy of Jesus Christ and God. I am disappointed that they could not draw the conclusion that this vile leprous Bishop is unfit to head the COE and must go now.

Under Dr William the COE was desecrated by violating clear teaching of God's word in Roman 7: 1-3 on one man one woman until death we part by encouraging an adulterous Prince who violated his marital vow to his wife while they were together by sleeping with his neighbours’ wife.

The Arch Bishop then legislated that for this disgraced man and woman whose husband is still alive and well should just say sorry for the sin of adultery in other that he might join them together in an unholy wedlock. And this legislation by this erring Bishop is in direct violation of the law of separation between husband and wife which is death. This woman still has a living husband. He has not died in a car crash as the case was for the man The Bishop trivialized the word of by saying God is merciful, he forgot that God is also the God of judgment who can kill and make alive. He executed Ananias and Sapphires in the early church for their hypocrisy and lies, he has not changed, because ‘I am who I am said the Lord’ Forever Oh Lord thy word is settled in heaven.

God is not a man that lies and spins. The arch Bishop has lied repeatedly by not being forthright in giving his resignation instead spined to the Synod that his choice of word was not appropriate. What honour has he again if he can tell lie brazenly instead of admitting that he has fallen from grace if has ever tasted one at all.

Furthermore his stand on Homosexuality is shocking and despicable, contrary to the Bible doctrine of homosexuality is abomination before the Lord thy God.

He is anti Israel and this is in violation of Genesis 12:1-3. Hence is against the Holy one of Israel and against his Prince Israel. The consequence for this terrible wickedness on the Church of England is God's curse on the head and the organisation which William is the head. The Lord God of Israel says I will bless him that blesses Israel and I will curse him that curses Israel. The arch Bishop in his condemnation of the defensive wall which Israel built to protect women and children from the Murderous suicide attacks from Sharia and Islam has God's curse on himself and on COE. The remedy for him full repentance and renunciation of his Islamic faith and Sharia.

And may he have the grace and courage to humble himself before God and bow out from this office. He has discredited this exalted office. He has brought it to ridicule and must go now otherwise he would continue to stumble from one controversy into another controversy.

OUT OF TOUCH AND ARROGANT!

Williams is totally out of touch with the vast population of this country. Then, what do you expect from a middle class accademic living in Lambeth Palace.

He simply has no idea what's going on in places like Luton and Bradford with Muslim ghettos and their Sharia mentality.

Perhaps if he visited Iran and watched a teenager being hanged from a crane in the street, under Sharia Law for being Gay, then maybe he'd stop talking out of his ar$e!

But then, let's face it, he's been turning a blind eye to the evil being done in places like Nigeria by fellow Anglicans to Gay men and women and refuses to come down off the fence.

VERBOSITY OVERWHELMS HIS EXUBERANCE

This pompous Archpillock of Canterbury is so overwhelmed & inebriated with his own verbosity, he believes he is fireproof. After an oration of "gobble-de-gook" explaining to the Synod what he said is not what he meant, he now continues with his promotion or understanding of the Islamic Law. He appears to have no understanding that "Sharia" in certain quarters, is part & parcel of Islamic Law. He should concentrate on christianity before people lose faith completely, if he is unable to do that in a language people can understand then maybe he should push off to an Islamic country where he will be appreciated. As for "nofreespeachhere", if he gets the answers to his three questions I don't believe he will understand & eventually become lost in his own "perspective". Agree with Libra, "ruining" or "running" won't make any difference if Nu-Labour continue with their shambolic attempts to govern this country
