SHOULD MIGRANTS RECEIVE BENEFITS IN BRITAIN?

Should migrants receive benefits in Britain?

Tuesday January 29,2008

By Macer Hall

TAXPAYERS are forking out £21million a year to bankroll child benefit for 27,000 youngsters still living in Poland, it emerged last night.

Thousands of migrant workers are now claiming generous cash handouts for offspring left behind in former Eastern Bloc countries.

But official figures show that Polish claimants are by far the biggest group, with 16,286 adults receiving £21.4million in taxpayer-funded benefits for 26,711 children.

That makes an annual total of £1,500 for an average family with two children – a small fortune in Poland where people are being openly told by officials that Britain operates a “pay now, check later” welfare system. Other eastern European migrants are also claiming the same benefits for more than 3,000 children, bringing the total annual bill for the taxpayer to £24million.

Do YOU think migrants should receive benefits in Britain? Should taxpayers be forking out £21million a year?

These immigrants are bleeding us dry but our government will do nothing to stop it. Isnt it about time, we the British people stood up for our rights and do something about it because our government certainly wont.

CHILD BENEFITS FOR POLISH WORKERS

05.06.08, 4:42pm

I have always understood that English parents only receive child benefits if the child or children in question are living with them. Why should things be different for Polish workers? Presumably their wives, if remaining in Poland with their children, would receive Polish benefits. It would seem totally excessive if they receive English benefits in addition..

Once again you are 'having a go' at me.

I call people who come here scum, the ones who come to make a mockery of our country.

The ones who come for handouts, and for to indulge in criminal behaviour.

These people you are so keen on defending, the ones who 'work hard to improve the lives of their families' - yeah right.

You mean the single men, who if they do have families, often leave them in dangerous situations - like lots of the young Iraqi men who standing in the Post Office queue for the benefit to be paid.

Why aren't they at home looking AFTER their family?

How does receiving benefit here (the free ride they likely come for) mean they are looking after their families??

Sending money home is not the same as being there is it??

How many times have you heard the Government banging on about single parent families??

Loads. Yet all of these men are making their famillies just that.

And, by the way, if you are referring to me as this:

scum are people who are in priviledged positions, and yet continually moan about how hard done by they are. they are peole who begrudge anyone else trying to improve their lives and expect priviledge just though being born.

--------

How the hell would you know whether I am priviledged or not??

You know sod all about me, or my life, so don't presume you do.

Whatever YOU think about me, will, no doubt by way off the mark.

INTERESING

14.02.08, 1:13am

In full lefty mode you said:

"the vast majority of immigrants work hard in order to improve the lives of their families."

I don't doubt they do for a minute. It's a natural human impulse. To look after one's own first own foremost. Good on them.

But, and this is the but that your really don't seem to grasp (if you pardon the expression:)

When these people come to Great Britain to improve the lives of their families, they are impinging on the hard working indigenous families rights to do likewise, i.e. trying to improve the lives of THEIR families.

Immigrant are cheaper to employ and come from countries that don't much concept of "workers rights." So to unscruplous globalists (I thought you Marxists were supposed to be against this sort of thing?!) will rather employ an immigrant in the UK than a home grown worker. Simple capitalist dogma. According to Marx, the capitalists are reallly bad people who do this sort of nasty thing. The same that you and your kind have told us about until recently. Since the hard left seem to enbrace globalism and unscruplous capitalism for some reason. Weird.

Anyway, the immigrant worker is putting the interests of his family over the interests of the indigenous workers family who he is in competition with economically.

This is the way of the world. So why do you slag off the British worker who does exactly the same thing and looks after the well-being of his family first and foremost? He might decide that to put his family's interests first and get rid of the immigrant worker by voting for the BNP to further the interests of his family and their well-being.

Nothing wrong with this. Cerainly the same as a foreign worker coming to a foreign land and putting the interests of his family before those of workers already there.

But to you, that seems to be evil. But why should the immigrant come to another country knowing damn well that he is casuing misery to an indigenous worker and this be classified as accpetable? And why shouldn't the indingenous worker not fight back by putting the interests of his own first and foremost over those of a stranger?

But when the indigenous woker puts his own interests first and votes for the BNP, he is evil. Yet when the immigrant worker puts his own interests first, he is a brave and honourable man only looking out for his family. The same as the indingenous woker is doing!

Your point of view doesn't add up. Perhaps you'd like to explain. (By explain I mean not bore us silly with Marxist dialectics and generally avoid the issue and call me a "bigot.")

why are you so obsessed with calling people scum?

the vast majority of immigrants work hard in order to improve the lives of their families. that is the exact opposite of 'scum'.

to me, scum are people who are in priviledged positions, and yet continually moan about how hard done by they are. they are peole who begrudge anyone else trying to improve their lives and expect priviledge just though being born.
