He faces three charges of wounding with intent in relation to the stabbing of two officers and the dog, Anya, which tried to protect them.

He is also charged with actual bodily harm in connection with an assault on a member of the public and one charge of affray on January 3 in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Police refused to name the man, who will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court.
