REES DENIES 'CONSPIRACY' OVER DIANA

Wednesday January 23,2008

The only survivor of the crash in which Diana, Princess of Wales was killed has denied that he was part of a murder cover-up.

Former bodyguard Trevor Rees took the stand at the central London inquests into the deaths of Diana and her lover, Dodi Fayed, still bearing scars on his face from the August 1997 crash in Paris.

In a soft voice, Mr Rees told the jury: "I am not part of a conspiracy to suppress the truth at all. All I have ever done is given the truth as I see it."

He was answering a question in which Ian Burnett QC, for the Coroner, outlined Mohamed al Fayed's controversial claim that Diana was murdered.

Mr Burnett said: "What is being suggested by Mohamed al Fayed is that you are part of a conspiracy to suppress the truth that his son, the Princess of Wales and Henri Paul were murdered by the British security services, MI6, call them what you will."

Mr Rees was Dodi Fayed's bodyguard and the front seat passenger in the Mercedes. He broke every bone in his face and suffered serious chest injuries.

The former paratrooper, formerly known as Rees-Jones, worked with American author Moira Johnston on a book called The Bodyguard's Story, which was published in 2000.

The book is written in the third person and based on a series of interviews with Mr Rees, his mother, Jill, and Dr Luc Chikhani, the surgeon who performed miracles in reconstructing Mr Rees's face.

Mr Burnett asked: "It has also been alleged by Mr al Fayed that the book was written either by or at the behest of the security services, in particular MI6. Is there any truth in that?" Mr Rees replied: "None whatsoever."

Mr Burnett asked: "It has also been suggested that the book was written with Dominic Lawson, who was the editor of the Sunday Telegraph. Is that true?" Mr Rees answered: "That is not true." The inquest continues.

OH PLEASE,.....................

23.01.08, 4:18pm

Oh please, what did they or anyone else expect from this man? Did they really think that he would come clean after all this time?

I did watch a documentary programme some years ago regarding the crash and Trevor Rees Jones and Kes Wingfield was asked by the presemter if they believed that Henri Paul was drunk and they both categorically denied that he was. They both said that they think that with their training that they would have known or suspected it if he had been and would not have let him drive.

Thinking about it, why if Jones believed that Henri Paul had been over or near the limit would he a trained SAS man have got in the car with him? This is simply another attempt at a cover up and to make Henri Paul the scapegoat. Henri Paul's medical examiner who passed him as fit and healthy for his pilot's licence should be called as a character witness, along with his parents and friends.

Considering that Trevor Rees Jones is now working for the Security Services in Iraq makes me think that calling him as a witness is a waste of time and money. There is no way he in such a position is going to go up against the Crown. or government. The truth will never be heard from that mans lips I am sure. I am not accusing him of lying but do think that he is witholding evidence something that will never be proved.

The whole Inquest is only being conducted in order to appease the public and to try and convice them that Diana's death was the result of a tragic accident because up to now all other efforts have failed.

Pity that the powers that be did not realise that they would be wasting their time before they embarked on this Inquest as a lot of money could have been saved. It would have been better off going into the pockets of our police forces. People will never change their mind about Diana's death and it will go down in history that the majority of the people the world over always believed that she was murdered.
