Celebrity watchers were stunned when Britney Spears' clean-cut 16-year-old sister suddenly announced in OK! magazine that she is pregnant.

The exclusive story has been such a sensation that the American edition of OK! has sold out and is having to print extra copies.

After Britney's tragic decline and sometimes bizarre behaviour Jamie Lynn seemed set to succeed her sister as America¹s sweetheart.

Now, friends fear she could be on the same slippery slope. In the OK! magazine interview she describes herself as 'shocked and scared' but says she will hang on to her baby. She says boyfriend Casey and her mum, Lynne
Spears will be standing by her.

OK! USA editor Sarah Ivens said: "The interest in this story is unbelievable. Our switchboards are jammed, traffic on our website hasincreased tenfold and the magazine has sold 1.4 million in two days.

"With the reprint, I expect we shall sell around two million copies, which is a fantastic record. OK! started up in the United States only two years ago."

The story is also running in the British edition of OK! - out now.

It sums up the damn world today when celebrity status is gained by being thick, criminal or racist!

She is making headlines for 2 reasons. Reason one is because she is Britneys sister and reason two is because she is only 16yrs old and the age of consent in her home state is 17!!!!
