TONY Blair is secretly backing plans to create a permanent President of Europe, in a move that could see him go head to head for the job with bitter rival Jacques Chirac.

Senior Brussels sources revealed that Mr Blair was backing the idea as European leaders gathered in Berlin last night to mark the European Union’s 50th anniversary.

The plan was first floated as part of the EU constitution, which was rejected by voters in France and Holland two years ago.

It is now being discussed again as part of negotiations in Berlin aimed at reviving the Constitution without sparking more referendums.

But what do YOU think?

No doubt Blair must fancy his chances,he has ruined the UK If he was President of Europe no doubt within six months he will destroy Europe to.We do not need a president of Europe,the EU does not have a mandate from the people.We should pull out of Europe and save billions of pounds which can be used for the british economy.The EU is only good for failed politicians just look at Kinnock and Mandelson.
Just look what they are doing now by reintroducing copnstitution by the back door.They do not listen to the people,so what good will a president do.

Answer - Emphatically NO!!!!

Yes to an immediate referendum so that we can distance the UK from the grip of this menacing monster which has the potential to plunge us into World War 111.

Give blair the vote to presidency of the EU. Then leave it.
That way we'll have Britiain back and and the head of the EU wont be French.
There's only one better combination than that and it's ice cream with my apple strudle.

I'm from the US, but I will comment any way. No, you do not need a permenant EU president. That is nothing better than a monarchial appointed position and the monarchs have been removed other than their charity work. Blair should be umpeache if he really backed a plan to put on in their.

Blair is a murderer! He and Bush are blood brothers! Niether need to be in charge of even their own minds let alone everyone elses.
