BIONIC PLAYER THREATENS WORLD TENNIS

Game, set and match for unbeatable World No.1

HE might not be as good-looking as Roger Federer, but he’s definitely got his eyes.

At an impressive 6 ft 5 inches and a lightweight 14 stone, this virtual tennis pro can outrun an Olympic athlete and damage the turf with a terrifying 155 mile per hour serve.

But it’s unlikely that he’ll ever play at Wimbledon.  Meet the ultimate tennis player of tomorrow – a bionic super man who has Richard Gasquet’s killer backhand, Rafael Nadal’s speed and Andy Roddick’s record serve.

And with Roger Federer’s hand-eye co-ordination, Fernando Gonzalez’s arms and Novak Djokovic’s speed and agility, you’ve got the most powerful tennis player imaginable.

The ultimate tennis player may look like Frankenstein’s monster but he is the creation of proud ‘parents’ - former British No.1 Andrew Castle and Dr David Fewtrell, Senior Lecturer in Sports Biomechanics at a Lancashire University.

FRANKENSTEIN: Labels show his 'borrowed' body parts

“The best tennis is like a game of high speed, physical chess played by some of the most highly skilled sportsman in the World,” Andrew Castle explained.

"With Nadal’s legs for speed, Djokovic’s feet for agility and Murray’s brain for his tactics, this player would be unbeatable.”

At yesterday’s Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai, Roger Federer beat five players whose body parts were also ‘borrowed’ to create the ultimate player, but perhaps even he would be intimidated by the tennis monster.

Pat Cash

Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash said: “Top tennis players have to be recognised as the elite athletes they are.”

“They’re the modern gladiators of sport, so imagine facing the ultimate player,” he said.

He added: “It’s a scary prospect, and I wouldn’t like to be on the opposite side of the net to this guy!”
