Carphone Warehouse customers have had problems with their broadband

THE queue of frustrated customers who, after signing up to Carphone Warehouse's free broadband offer are still waiting to be connected, has just got shorter.

And that's not because the company, surprised by the huge response, has recruited hundreds more staff to deal with demand.

Crusader has played its part after receiving many requests for help. Our sweet-talking to Carphone staff has reduced the waiting time for some of those left in limbo.

Retired RSPCA officer Ray Ruff, from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, is one who is now happily surfing. Ray signed up for the service in April.

A fault in his BT line was discovered but not rectified. Now engineers have removed a rogue filter inside the terminal.
"My patience nearly snapped as I waited for someone to come to fix it. I was sceptical that even Crusader could make a difference but you did. I'm online and it's marvellous, " says Ray.

Tricia Thom, from Formby, Merseyside, also waited several months for a TalkTalk modem before appealing to Crusader. But last week she said: "The modem has arrived and everything is working perfectly. Thank you."

I HAD NO ISSUES...

i know a lot of customers had loads of issues with this company but i didn't experience bad with these guys. i signed up and was up and running in 2 weeks. Guess i was one of the lucky ones.

I was one of talktalk's customers who waited for 5 months to get my broadband connection. I was connected on 12/09/06 and since then I have nothing but praise for the company. I have found that the software that comes with modem is brilliant. Anytime I cannot get a connection the "assist and go" software activates and I'm connected very quickly. An intermittent fault on my phone line was dealt with and they called back to ensure that it was OK. Best of all my phone bills are a lot less than they were.I think that there are a lot of satisfied customers, but it's only those with a complaint that write in.

About time, i'm still waiting for this company to get there act together. Sadly i suspect the service will be appalling when it does eventually materialise!
