MFI PUTS TOGETHER A GOOD DEAL

Wednesday March 14,2007

By Maisha Frost

A BOTCHED order has been handsomely corrected by furniture chain MFI which has replaced a broken table for customer Fred Murray and reimbursed him the full amount again in recognition of the disruption caused.

Builder Fred, 52, and his wife Jean paid £260 for the wooden leaf table along with four chairs costing £80 each from their local MFI shop in Romford, Essex. The set was a pre-Christmas buy but it was delivered just before the festive season minus essential bolts.

"It meant I couldn't cobble it together just to make do over the holiday, " explained Fred. No replacement was available until New Year. But now a brand new table has arrived for the Murrays, along with a £260 refund.

"MFI has done us proud. This is more than all right, " said Fred.
