TAKING GOOD CARE OF A NEW MUM

Wednesday March 14,2007

By Maisha Frost

MOTHERCARE has more than lived up to its name in the opinion of new mum Michele Roberts.

She is highly impressed with staff at the Watford branch of the national store chain after they let her use an out-of-date voucher to help to buy a particular pram she wanted.

"I had a 10 per cent discount but could not use it because I was taken into hospital with complications during my pregnancy, " says Michele, from Potters Bar, whose first baby Jessica is now two months old.

When Michele finally managed to get to the store, months later, the £300 Trenton buggy that she liked was also out of stock.

"I told them I thought I would probably not be allowed to use the voucher but the manager was absolutely fine, " explains Michele.

"They also went out of their way to track down the product I wanted. I cannot praise them enough."
