A LABOUR peer who pocketed around £100,000 in expenses will face a Parliamentary probe after escaping criminal charges yesterday because of a loophole in House of Lords rules.

Baroness Uddin, the first Muslim woman peer, claimed a £174-a-night allowance after designating an allegedly empty flat in Kent as her main home despite having a family home just four miles from Westminster.

Prosecutors yesterday said they were powerless to take legal action against her because of a Lords’ committee ruling that peers could visit their “main home” as little as once a month.

A House of Lords investigation is to be reopened.

This demonstrates that the ruling elite don't fear the people & will even close ranks to save this vile little thief. What the hell is this woman doing in the house of lords? What this country needs is to abolish the entire establishment until then expect nothing but ruin & treason in high places. They think that tossing a few old MP's to the pack will placate? No this act of contempt has condemned them all!

She is still guilty as hell because according to the neighbours she wasn,t there for months on end when she was supposed to attend once a month...so she did in fact break the rules.

She is not just a disgrace to her Community - SHE IS A DISGRACE TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY. But guess what - Id wager that she gets away with it or very little of a penalty under This Inept New Labour Incompetence Party.
