SHOWBIZMR & MRS SARKOZY ARE BOTH ACCUSED OF HAVING AN AFFAIR
President Sarkozy and Carla Bruni on the steps of the Elysee Palace last week Wednesday March 10,2010 By Lianne KolirinFRENCH President Nicolas Sarkozy and his glamorous wife Carla Bruni are both having affairs, according to rumours gathering momentum across the Channel.
The suggestion that France’s first couple were both committing adultery first emerged on networking website Twitter. Now the allegation has been reported on the website of prestigious Sunday newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche. President Sarkozy is refusing to either confirm or deny the claims.The first “tweet” revealed Bruni was involved with new lover Benjamin Biolay, an award-winning musician. It added that the jilted president had found solace in the arms of his 40-year-old ecology minister Chantal Jouanno, a karate champion. French web magazine suchablog.com then reported that Bruni and Biolay had been friends for many years and were now unofficially living together at his flat in Paris. The rumours have been given extra credibility after they were acknowledged in a blog on Le Journal du Dimanche’s official website. The paper wrote: “It’s the gossip of the moment that could become the story of the year. A romance is said to have started a few weeks ago between the First Lady of France and Benjamin Biolay. The rumour started on Twitter and is now on blogs and websites everywhere.” The paper added that according to the suchablog website, it was now “much more than a rumour”. Le Journal du Dimanche said: “It says the presidential marriage is breathing its last breaths. Carla Bruni is in love with Benjamin Biolay and the president has found solace with Chantal Jouanno.” The story has been published on websites around the world. Bruni and Sarkozy first met at a Paris dinner party in November 2007. After their whirlwind romance and wedding three months later, regular reports predicted the marriage would only last as long as Sarkozy was President. But this is the first report of a marital crisis.
Monogamy does not seem to come naturally to either of them. The French media frequently quotes Bruni as once having said she is “easily bored by monogamy”. Bruni, whose lovers include Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton and Donald Trump, is said to have started a relationship with writer Jean-Paul Enthoven, before dumping him for his philosopher son Raphael. After they had a son in 2001, Raphael left Bruni stating he felt she was “uncommitted to the relationship”. Sarkozy is reported to have had an affair with second wife Cecilia Ciganer-Albaniz while married to his first wife Marie-Dominique Culioli – the mother of his two sons. He then married Ciganer-Albaniz, but they split during his presidential election campaign in 2007 when she started having an affair with US publicist Richard Attais. Yesterday the President’s press spokesman had “absolutely no comment” to make.

The French have much more interesting lives.
Asking about the mile high club would be superfluous.At least they have their priorities right and do to each other what Mr Brow and his bunch just do to the economy.
