YOB-RAVAGED Britain now has a higher violent crime rate than America or any nation in the European Union, official figures revealed last night.

The UK suffers more than 1.15 million killings, knife attacks, shootings and other assaults every year, an international survey released in Brussels revealed.

That means Britons are nearly four times more likely to be victims of violent attacks than people in France or Denmark and seven times more likely to be assaulted than Spaniards or Germans. The risk of attack in Britain is even worse than in East Europ- ean ex-Communist countries.

The scourge of violence sweeping Britain was disclosed in the European Commission figures.

They showed that 1,158,957 violent crimes were recorded in Britain in 2007. That compared to 324,765 attacks in France, which has a similar population.

The British total was nearly double the figure of 652,974 violent crimes recorded in 1997, when Labour came to power.

Critics last night blamed Labour’s failure to tackle crime and street disorder as well as soft sentencing by the courts – driven by a shortage of cells in the crumbling prison system.

Rising levels of family breakdown was also seen as a factor.

Senior Tories seized on the figures as exposing the reality of Labour’s dismal record of crime fighting under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Grayling said: “This is a damning indictment of this Government’s comprehensive failure over more than a decade to tackle the deep- rooted social problems in society and the knock-on effect on crime and anti-social behaviour.”

The European Commission analysis calculated that Britain suffered a violent crime rate of 2,034 attacks and threatened assaults for every 100,000 citizens in 2007.

In comparison, France had 504 attacks for every 100,000 citizens, Germany had 262, Spain 225, Italy 235 and Poland 161.

Closest to Britain in the crime league were Austria and Sweden, with 1,677 and 1,123 attacks per 100,000 citizens respectively. In the US, about 1.4 million violent crimes were recorded in 2007. But the US violent crime rate was 466 attacks per 100,000 citizens.

Experts claim low rates of imprisonment per offence in Britain has meant a crime explosion in recent years. David Green at social policy think-tank Civitas said: “Reluctance to punish offenders tends to lead to high rates of offending.”

But a Home Office spokesman said: “These figures are misleading. Levels of police-recorded crime statistics from different countries are not comparable since they are affected by factors that may not include behaviour we categorise as violent crime.”

“Violent crime in England and Wales has fallen by almost half since a peak in 1995 – but we know there is still work to do.”

Of course it is Labours' fault. But they were in fact assisted greatly by the lack of opposition in the Blue Labour party.

I know what: You can share the credit.

Come on now, let's speak honestly (unpolitically). It is Blairs Hegellian Dialectic that has led to this state of affairs. Blairs Hegellian Dialectic states that synthesis between opposites must occur. Well, let us face it Brown and Straw and the whole bunch of Luciferian creeps have worked their B*tts of to bring this about. Look around you. But the real goody is that while we are all distracted by our friends, or our children, or our mothers and fathers being stabbed in the street, or shot or blown to pieces in one of our illegal wars under the guise of the completely false "War on Terror", or the fake, engineered financial crisis, and the various stresses so as to facilitate governments inflicting Bio-Terror on populations, Gordon Browns New World Order evolves through the medium of the equally false Global Warming crisis. What a ride we are being taken for. All of our money is now in the hands of bankers. We are having our homes repossessed by banks that never even lent us anything. I tell you: Our politicians should Thank their lucky stars they have not been strung up on lamp posts for their evil treachery and betrayal.

Twelve years of turning the Police into a social service and diversity awareness (we love every-one apart from the indigenous( (white Anglo Saxon)) population) administration. Twelve years of obfuscation and fiddling crime figures and soft on the causes of crime and soft on the offenders, we arrive at these appalling crime statistics, how can we feign surprise??

Once again what it said on the tin, is not what we actually received!! The saddest aspect is that the majority of Police officers are dedicated professionals and want to be a POLICE FORCE again. If one looks at the standard of excruciatingly poor and inferior Home Office ministers we citizens and Police have had to put up with, then it is hardly a surprise. It demonstrates the contempt with which the nulab social experimenters hold the populace in that we are in such a sorry state.

Jacqui Smith constantly told us, "the streets are getting safer"
But when it came to buying a late night kebab, she had 'back up', the hypocrisy is jaw dropping!

Was it the Police or the policies that caused;
Criminalising the middle classes, chasing the multicultural agenda ie parties with the 'pikeys', taking the eye off the ball because of terrorism, turning a blind eye to drugs/decriminalising cannabis, not searching enough young toughs on the street.

All have added to our streets becoming no-go zones.The Tories have a good idea in making local Police superintendents/commissioners responsible to the electorate and if they are not up to the job, then the public can remove them by the power of the ballot box.
And
Get some proper police back into positions of power not the social scientists that now occupy many of the top jobs in the Force(Cressida **** is one).

Finally remove the nulab administration, they are not 'fit for purpose'............ !

...many people just don't bother reporting crime any more, what's the point? The Police can't do their job, they have their hands tied, Prison Officers must call prisoners 'Mr', 13 year old can have babies and the taxpayer will look after them, layabouts leave school uneducated because they couldn't be bothered to learn, never have a job, hang around the streets being looked after again by the tax payer. Until we start making people responsible for their actions and do away with the PC Brigade things will only get worse.

The poor people that this country keeps incarcerating and charging with crimes. They are just expressing themselves, after all they have to find out who they are!!! All this P/C rubbish and "touchy feely" trash that has been espoused since the 1960's has taken root over the entire world. Because of the ever sliding moral scale it will only get worse until someone actually has the nuts to stand up for values.
Let the kids be scared of the police again. Let the teachers take back the classroom, without the fear of some stupid lawsuit.
Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it!!!

I am 79 years old, I remember WW2 years, I was in the Royal Navy during the Korean Conflict, then there was the Thatcher years, I have never seen the British People so low and anti government, REASONS, firstly politicians exposed on their thieving off the Taxpayer, plus the corruption and lies and excuses, secondly that fiasco sentence (for the Baby Peter atrocious torture and murder, )by that incopetent judge and supported by that idiot baroness scotland , now we get the straw character and his ridiculous decision on Mr. Biggs, Mr. Biggs was wrong and deserved to go to gaol for what he and the rest did, I don't see Britain recovering, because of the thoughts and attitude of the people, also i don't see anybody in any party capable of running the Country, lastly that thieving smith getting away with fraud People of Britain that is how your country is being run at present
