MIDDLE BRITAIN MUST FIGHT TO STOP LABOUR TURNING SCREW

Wednesday November 26,2008

HEADLINE items in Alistair Darling’s pre-Budget Report were bad enough but the horrors hidden in the small print may prove to be even worse.

Budget documents reveal that the Government is planning for council tax to rise by more than 10 per cent during the next two years, taking average bills above £1,500.

For more than a decade Labour has ruthlessly used local authority finance as another front in its stealth tax assault on Middle Britain.

While people on benefits have been protected, those who pay their own bills have been hammered time and again.

News that yet more above-inflation increases are planned brings with it the horrible realisation that this Government will never be satisfied with the amount of money it plunders from the middle classes.

Its socialist dogma will always propel it towards taking more from those who strive to be independent of the State and giving it to those who do not.

It will never reach a point where it believes hard-working people deserve to keep what they have left.

Neither will it ever reach a point where it believes that the idle and irresponsible must face the consequences of their own actions.

At every opportunity that presents itself, Labour will attempt another turn of the screw.

Middle Britain and the Labour Party are locked in a fight to the death.

It is a fight that Middle Britain must win.
