SURGERY: Daniel Craig says all those action sequences are ruining his appearance

Friday October 10,2008

IS Daniel Craig planning to see a man with a golden scalpel to restore his looks?

The current James Bond, 40, jokes that he may need plastic surgery one day because 007 action sequences are wrecking his carefully- honed appearance.

Daniel, who has his second outing as the super spy in Quantum Of Solace, said: “It’s what happens when you do something like this. I got caught in a fight sequence and needed eight stitches. Plastic surgery? Give it five years.”

But despite taking pride in his looks, Daniel is not planning on stripping off again for Bond, as he did in skin-tight trunks in Casino Royale. “I’m not going to put those trunks on ever again,” he says.

Meanwhile, we said in a story on Daniel’s Quantum co-star Gemma Arterton earlier this week that “appearing with 007 carries with it the threat of a career crash, as has happened in the past”.

We would like to clarify that these words were meant to be our own comment and were not spoken by Gemma herself.
