KEEN equestrian Katie Price may have been rejected as not posh enough to attend the Cartier polo last month but she is having the last laugh now.

The ex-glamour model has been chosen to front Hoof In Town, a prestigious campaign to encourage inner-city children to take up horse riding.

The project’s ultimate goal is to get the sport placed on the national school curriculum.

The high-profile campaign is headed by Barbara Cassani, who helped mastermind London’s bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.

She said: “Some people may think horse riding is only available to a select few but Katie’s interest in riding and her open determination to do well at dressage are just the messages we want to give to young people today.”

Katie, 30, – formerly known as Jordan – will certainly look the part after launching a collection of pink equestrian gear in London this week.

She said: “I love everything about horses – yes, even mucking out – but I’ve always found the clothes rather boring so I thought I’d create my own range.”

The mother-of-three owns four horses, including a filly called Glamour Girl and a stallion called Andre, named after her pop star husband Peter Andre.
