STARLET Sienna Miller refuses to surround herself with the usual celebrity circus of bodyguards and flunkies despite admitting to being unhappy about the constant attention she receives.

Her high-profile love life has generated much media interest and she is often chased by paparazzi but the 26-year-old Factory Girl and Alfie actress is determined to lead as normal a life as possible.

Sienna, who has attracted criticism for her current relationship with married (albeit now separated) oil heir Balthazar Getty, a father of four, insists defiantly: “When I’m not working, I want to be myself.

“I don’t have assistants, bodyguards or even a driver because I try to pretend in my own head that this isn’t happening.

“I think a lot of actresses live in this cotton-wool world but I’m very free-spirited and I want to be able to live the life I do.”

She does not seek the limelight, she insists. “I’ve never missed a day’s work in my life and I take my job very seriously.

“I was well known before I had a film out [referring to being Jude Law’s girlfriend] but I don’t court attention. I don’t go to other people’s premieres. I haven’t been out to a club in London for years.”

Not that all the attention is unwelcome. “I would not say I look forward to interviews but I like to chat,” she says.

“I get nervous because I have a very large mouth so sometimes I put my foot in it. I get excited and I need to calm down.”

And Sienna has a tongue-in-cheek warning for her acting contemporary and Edge Of Love co-star Keira Knightley that she is out to spoil the latter’s butter-wouldn’t-melt reputation.

She tells Sky Movies Magazine: “I have a lot of respect for Keira, she’s another girl who’s in a similar position to me but she still has her reputation intact. Naturally I intend to sully it before the year’s out. Only joking...”

Hope so, Sienna.
