But after being a murderer in Hollyoaks and a man eater in Eastenders’ – stunning Gemma Bissix tells Saturday magazine how crazy Clare bows out of the square next week and why it’s time for a holiday:

“I leave Albert Square in the back of a Black Cab, of course! Which is how I left with Nigel 10 years ago so it feels kind of right. It’s better than going out in a box isn’t it? I don’t want to be killed off!”

The 25-year-old actress has worked solidly for the past three years and says she’s now more than ready for a holiday. Not that sizzling beach breaks are always relaxing for a girl who plays a super-bitch on the box, as Gemma reveals:

“I fancy some time out. I’ve just got back from Ibiza, which was relaxing apart from Brits shouting ‘Are you that bitch on the TV?’ "

Fans of the talented Gemma shouldn’t despair at her swift exit from Eastenders.

She’ll be back on Britain’s TV screens in brand new ITV1 drama Britannia High and she’s secretly hoping she’ll turn up in the Square again in the future:

“I don’t think it’s the end of Clare. I’m sure she’ll be back to cause trouble at some point.”
