DAVID Davis says he has no regrets about quitting his frontbench job in a one-man stand for civil liberties.

Didn't the tories say 'be in Europe, but not ruled by Europe',make our own decisions for this country.
The EU does not see it that way neither does this government so its best we get out and do it our way. Look at the money we will save which can be put to far better use.

DAVIS WANTS END TO DICTATORS

29.06.08, 7:59pm

quite right too,but when has it been any different ,the year 2008 ,but has the country progressed ,regarding ,politics ,the law ,our health service ,etc .in some respects its got worst ,labour has certainly added its fair share to the way standards in this country have declined and the conservatives arnt free from blame either .we look at other countrys like zimbabwe ,iraq ,afghanistan, etc but are we any different .the government does very little listening ,and more telling ,political correctness has taken centre stage ,with crimminals getting an easy sentence ,even the sadistic murder of children is deemed not serious in the eyes of the justice system ,how little life is worth in this country.most politicians actualy believe they can make a difference to the country ,but the cold hard truth is they are failing ,and lives are being lost ,because not one of them will stand up and say enough is enough ,its time for change ,there more concerned in what they can get out the job and forcing there crap ideas down your throat.

CONSERVATIVE POLICY ON EUROPE

29.06.08, 7:25pm

One of my major reservations about voting Conservative is that I am not convinced about their policy on the EU. David Cameron's EU policy is at best ambiguous and I cannot be sure what he would do if he got into power. I feel I have been misled and strung along by the governing parties since we joined the Common Marlet and I am now convinced that we have made a mistake and must leave. So would Cameron take us out? I don't think so. Until that situation changes I therefore have severe reservations about voting Conservative. My vote will goes to the best party that is unambiguously anti-EU.

THE EU

29.06.08, 1:30pm

With regards to the comments regarding the EU,it strikes me as funny that the EU loving ministers and politicians have failed to tell the electorate of this country of something very sinister.....

Why have they not mentioned that in 2007 the German government Health Ministry made it a legal obligation in 9 seperate regions of Germany for parents to read government issued booklets which are now compulsory reading by parents, social workers, school and nursery teachers to aid childrens sexual developement by "manually stimilating the vaginas and genitalia" of children aged 1 - 3 yrs old and up to 4 - 6 yrs old?

Effectively they have legalised child abuse and rape, and legalised Paeodaphilia.

Is this an organisation (the EU) which has the best interests of the public at heart.....i think not, also any politician who has willingly signed this country up to the EU Constitution (treaty) is guilty of supporting and promoting such a heinous peace of legislation,as most of the EU's rules and regulations usually emminate from the German government with Mrs Merkles backing and are usually adopted EU wide soon after.....how long after Jan 1st 2009 will it be a legal requirment to abuse you're own children?.

For those wishing to read an article explaining this goto the following link (which i found by chance while reading another readers comments http://www.tpuc.org/node/151

POOR OLD GROCER HEATH

29.06.08, 12:02pm

I am sure that the only reason that we Brits wanted to get into the Common Market in the first place was because De Gaulle kept saying "Non" to our entry. He never got over the humiliation of his country capitulating and collaborating with the Nazis whilst we stood firm, fought on and eventuall won.

If he is serious about getting rid of 'dictators' the EU is a good one for starters,we can once again look after our own affairs free from their
dictatorship

You are so right Maggie !
But the Conservatives claim that they want to be IN europe.

So happy are the Conservatives with europe that the Conservative MEPs, now lead by Phillip Bushell -Mathews MEP , sent their expenses to the Irish "YES TO LISBON TREATY" FUND.

tHE cONSERVATIVES LIKE TO SOUND EUROSCKEPTIC AS THIS IS THE POSITION OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP, BUT WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO REALITY..VRAIS POLITIQUE...THE CONSERVATIVES WANT TO BE RULLED BY BRUSSELLS...

To prove this, they send their own money to undermine the chance of any halt to the ratification process.

You just can't trust the Tories... and don't forget it was Heath that got us into this mess in the first place.

We have to get out.

CCTV

29.06.08, 10:26am

The boffins boast that they have satellites that can read the writing on a cheque book yet, whenever we see a CCTV image of villains, street robbers, etc. the images are so blurred and grainy, it is difficult to recognise a face properly.

I saw an American news programme last night and they are absolutely amused and worried that we have the greatest number of cameras per population in the world and some of them even have loudspeakers that admonish people in the street.

Yesterday, my daughter was out driving and a copper pulled her up to tell her that her car insurance had expired an hour previously. It was actually a mistake by the bank who withheld a direct debit payment to the insurance company and was eventually sorted out with a few phone calls. Hows that for 1984?

In one way it may have been a blessing in disguise as it prevented her from driving unaware of being illegal but the other question we ought to be asking is, how come all these murders are still happening?

BUT IN OFFICE WOULD HE AND HIS ILK CHANGE?

29.06.08, 3:33am

But we need to ask ourselves, or our supposed oposition parties, will they change anything?

I think not, they Lab,Lib Dem and Tory are all parties that want us in the EU.

They refuse to get either themselves or their MEP's of the EU gravy train.
