Just as an add-on to my previous post.
My treatment at Musgrove Park Hospital,Taunton was the best!
The stroke unit consultant was Iranian,
the surgeon was from Northern Ireland and the nursing staff were from all-over so it's all down to attitude not nationality.

We have had an 'NHS award winning' triage system at our surgery for some time now. The odds of getting an appointment with one's own doctor is 50:1 against . On two occasions last year I rang NHS direct out of hours regarding a suspected TIA only to be told it was a migraine. After the weekend I rang my own GP only to be told the same thing .Later in the day I collapsed and my wife called an ambulance. I spent the next 8 days in the local stroke unit and one week later had an operation on an artery in my neck. I regained the use of my limbs but am left almost blind in one eye. The personnel touch went out of the NHS in this part of Somerset a long time ago and I no longer care who sees me as long as they know what they are doing.

GP Surgeries should be left as they are, why do we want more foreigners telling us what to do? Who are these stupid people who come up with these ideas, do they live in the real world? My GP's surgery is absolutely brilliant and the Doctors are decent, helpful and friendly, a mixture of English, Scots, Indian and all get on really well, the receptionists are also of mixed nationalities and really helpful. I for one shall hate to have to go to a so-called 'super surgery'.

These polyclinics are just another nail in the NHS coffin, put there by Gordon "Demolition" Brown, who's hidden slogan is 'Privatize the NHS' He will find some way of including PFI in there setting up.
