No, "rational" man's comments were addressed to this board in general. And as such we, in the terminology of you lot, "racist" bigoted" and I suspect that he's an "anti-Semite" as well.

AGAIN - THESE FIGURES DON'T SAY 1.3M POLES ARRIVED LAST YEAR
25.01.08, 1:25pm
They only say that 1.3m visits of less than a year were made by Polish people - and since some of them probably came more than once, fewer than 1.3m almost definitely arrived.
The average length of visit was just 17 days.
At an average spend of £24 a day, that makes a total of around £540,000,000 last year.
And CharlesTree - it's pretty obvious that RationalMan was talking about BNP members - not white people in genera'. The clue is that he says 'dullards in the BNP' and not 'white people'.

"RATIONAL" MAN
25.01.08, 12:47pm
You stereotyped:
"you lot on your dodgy benefit claims with your bad backs and whatever else you dream up on a Monday morning."
Interesting isn't it. Every ethnic "community" in the UK is protected by law from racist, bigoted stereotyping. But "rational" man can come here and stereotype the indigenous British community as all being "lazy" and think that it's ok.
Lovely country we live in, isn't it?

1.3M POLES ARRIVED IN BRITAIN LAST YEAR
25.01.08, 8:30am
Look I am not blaming these immigrates for wanting to better themselves and their families, most are honest, hard working people.
I just think common sense tells us (with brains) we can not sustain these figures. Lets not also forget the massive social impact this is having on our, housing, health, education and social services.
Migrants do contribute to the economy but lets look at the real picture. The real figure is 0.01% of GDP or 4p per head and thats based on a Home Office Ministers official estimate.
Most of these EU immigrates have stated they will permanently reside here and what happens when we have a recession and all these people are entitled to benefits etc.
To rationalman you should change your user name to moronman. If you carry on with your bigotted statements I'm going have to rip up your Guardian kiddies club membership card.

LETS LOOK AT IT WITH HONESTY
25.01.08, 6:05am
First of all the polish are not to blame for this problem, they are just using a service that has been offered in a legal way, and they have every right to take advantage aslong they are within the law.
The reason brits are in a panic mode is they have never seen such mass migration within such a short time...
The brits know the traditional migrants from the caribean, asia and africa, which they have historic links with, who come in thel last 50 years and beyond... but have never seen so many europeans who are white and speak a different language in their country...
But brits are not used to seeing within a few years migrant people that came in the last 50 years being out numbered within 3 years by people from eastern europe.
Even the traditional migrants will tell you now who most are citizen of this country by the way, they have never seen such mass migration in the UK, many will say like all other brits they feel pushed out in a way.
The other thing is this mass migration coming to the UK are coming legaly to the country.
What most concerns many is when they come you don't know who is who, you could have criminals come in to the country, were they are unknown here, and can live with a clear record.
I think Immigration is a good think for this country aslong local services and people of britain are not put under pressure and the people do not feel a burden which is direcly linked to immigration, i think immigration should benefit the people of britain and also the migrants and should not be sided one way or serve one side only.
I have seen 12 years ago how polish and romanians were deported from Germany before they joined the EU.
Blame no other for the suffering of brits and the migrants from eastern europe some who are being abused to some extend.
My heart goes to both who have been victim of a government which had plenty of time to plan and prepare for mass migration and which is still unwilling to do anything about this situation!
With rising inflation and high unemployment and falling house prices , high energy cost, food, oil and massive debt people owe and on top of that crime as a gift?
I don't know were all this is going to end up, with a government that has no plan even in sight!
No wonder that record number of brits are moving to places like Spain,Australia,Dubai,New Zealand and Canada.
I wish everyone the best for their future plans!

RATIONAL MAN

A Daily Mail columnist summed up your type perfectly: "brain-dead Liberal"
I'd like to graft onto that a few more observations.
You assume that everyone who doesn't agree with you is a dullard/a BNP dullard...
So you're a narrow-minded, brain-dead Liberal.
You assume that Dullards are, by and large, overweight & out of work....
So that makes you a bigoted, narrow-minded, brain-dead Liberal.
You ignore the exploitation angle that occurs in mass immigration, citing all kinds of profit margins and benefits...
So that makes you a greedy, bigoted, narrow-minded, brain-dead Liberal.
So, in fact, you're just like all the other greedy bigoted, narrow-minded, brain-dead Liberals; so rigidly loyal to your notion of open borders that you're all, essentially monocultural, greedy, bigoted, narrow-minded, brain-dead Liberals.

1.3M POLES
25.01.08, 2:05am
Isnt there a tax scam whereby if you as a overseas visitor do not work for a full tax year then you can claim all the PAYE tax back?.
This may account for the high number of visits.
BTW, I am saddened by the plight of teenages in UK, no chance of a job now that Eastern Europeans can undercut them on experience and cost.
No wonder they are topping themselves in Bridgend!.

IDIOT BNP DULLARDS
25.01.08, 1:23am
Before the brainless BNP idiots who have taken over the Express contributions get carried away, you should know that immigrants make up 8 per cent of the workforce but contribute 10 per cent of the UK's GDP. Ernst & Young reports they are net tax contributors - rather than a burden - to the public purse, easing the pensions bill through tax and keeping interest rates at least 0.5 per cent lower - equivalent to £500 a year on the average mortgage.
So while the over-weight and under-skilled dullards in the BNP who worry about migrants nicking their jobs, they should be thankful for migrants expanding the economy and thus keeping them in jobs... or at least contributing more in taxes than they give in order to keep you lot on your dodgy benefit claims with your bad backs and whatever else you dream up on a Monday morning. You idiot little-Englanders are creating a nice little mess for yourselves. Duh!

DISGUSTING
25.01.08, 1:04am
I was in favour of moderate immigration before the "open door" policy. Labour is undoing 50 years of race-relations work.
Still, at least they have listened to us and have ordered the immigration people to start removing illegals. And how are they going about it? By sending convicted and released criminals home? No - they're dragging dying people from their hospital beds. Very brave, I'm sure.
Disgusting.

1,3 MILION TIMES 24 QUID ITS .... 31 200 000 POUNDS
24.01.08, 11:11pm
.... in economy every day.
And I'm pretty sure this is not 1,3 but at least 2 millions and not 24 but 40 (24 per day I pay for only mortgage and council tax - don't mention petrol, food, utilities, etc) - it comes to 800 000 000 per day !!!
If you people that are against us ( yes - I'm from Poland - 3,5 year in UK) are that blind ignorants, can't count - I'd recommend Big Brain Academy on Nintendo Wii - 210 for system + 24 game (for them who still can't count 234 quid).
And that's why we are here - average Briton owe to bank about 7 grands in loans, credit cards, etc. - not mortgages. (last year "Times"). Someone have to take those money from them rich b######s (factories, bank's etc.) and put back in economy.
If we wouldn't come and work to UK maybe the minimum wage per hour could be even 8 quid, but petrol might cost you now like 2.66 per liter - in that case for your one hour you could buy only 3 liters instead of 5 like now (5 times 1.09 give us roughly 5 pounds which is minimum rate at this moment).
There is one thing you don't want to see - or maybe want be accused of racism - those Pole's whom lives in ... let say 7 in 3 bedrooms - renting houses from your Asian friends. True is - they renting council properties ILLEGALLY to Pols - 50% of them lives this way but they don't even know about this.
Homework for Bolton Council - send inspectors to given Council Houses and check where is lessee.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH FOR GOD'S SAKE.

I will be losing my job to Poland in 18 months or so time. Cadbury is the employer. Was shopping in Wells in Somerset last week-end. Tesco was stuffed with Poles doing their shopping, and i was thinking, hang on, very soon i will be on the dole and watching the pennies, and watching these people working and spending while i scratch around for work. How would you feel? This incompetent Government and greedy employers will bring this country to its knees, and sooner than you think. Vote BNP, never thought i would advocate that, but no-one else is up to the mark to reverse the disaster coming to the British people.

LIZZYC - POLISH MIGRANTS
24.01.08, 10:42pm
I couldn't believe my eyes when you said that translators are provided for immigrants in the UK! No foreigner who comes to live in Spain is provided with a translator - you have to pay for one and at a high price if you need one. Hospitals here have notices on each specialist's door telling foreigners to bring a translator with them - as usual the UK is a soft touch - no wonder people from poor countries wants to end up there and can you blame them? People might ask what I'm doing complaining about immigrants in the UK when there are plenty of us Brits who have gone abroad - the simple answer is that we bring money with us and buy property - no one gets hand outs here - it's just the UK that seems to have plenty of money to throw around on immigrants while paying paltry pensions to their old folk and letting all the services, i.e. hospitals, schools, prisons, etc run into the ground. Unbelievable too that teachers have to take children of all these different nationalities into their schools and teach them English as well as try to teach the English their lessons - what a complete and utter mess the UK is in! I suppose though we should be thankful that it's 1.3 million Polish people who have come over and not those who would immediately go on benefits, because they are at least known to be hard workers. However it's deplorable that our own people are sacked in some cases and immigrants taken on. This should be stopped and the British workers should take these employers to court. I think Gordon Brown must make the most of his couple of years in power because he won't get in again that's a fact! They are on their last legs!!

OVER POPULATION!
24.01.08, 9:26pm
As each day passes, we learn more and more about just how horrific the actions of ten years of a Labour government has been! As I have said for a number of years, the people have it in their power to change what is going on! But for some strange reason, the British people seem incapable of voting at all, let alone voting for a certain party! The time is now. Everyone should get out and vote when the time comes. The only credible party who has promised to get us out of the EU gravy train, is UKIP. So that is who you should vote for at every opportunity. If you want to go on living in a free country called England, then vote UKIP!
