MONEY BACK DEALS TRAP THE UNWARY.
20.04.07, 8:44pm
Unfortunately, I had a similar problem when I purchased a TV from Comet, at the shop I paid 49.99, for a 5yr maintenance plan, withthe proviso, that if I did not call out an engineer in the five years, I would get every penny of my 49.99 back. so I calculated the five years, and sent off the paperwork which they had sent me ,and asked for my money back, all within the specified 30days. Two weeks later I got a request for a certificate. A certificate which I had never received, I did however still have the purchase receipt, and the Timecard statement, paid on one installment, paid in full., I sent these off to them, to the correct address with a certificate of posting, then a week later I was told without this mystery certificate they could not send my money back. se la vie, another lesson learnt. kaye.
