HOLIDAY EXCESSES
25.07.07, 7:21pm
One of the problems that I have frequently encountered when traveling abroad is getting laundry done. The hotel charges are often prohibitive and launderettes are not always available or easy to find. Some laundry services will wash but not iron. To get round this problem I always take a travel iron with me on holiday and I choose my wardrobe very carefully. I take only those clothes that require minimum or no ironing and that dry easily. Clothes that are made to have a creased or crinkled look (mainly ladies wear) but still look good on, are a bonus and it would be wise to include a few in your holiday clothes as wash and wear items.

HOLIDAY EXCESSES

Please do not discourage people from taking large bags to the airport. My favourite pastime, when I am at the airport, is watching the Ryanair check in desks for all the people who are charged for excess baggage. It is hilarious. You have the couple who have worn the same clothes for a fortnight ,go to the check in with two cases that would hold 3 political refugees each and are then surprised that they have to pay for their excess baggage! They also have a large hand luggage bag each. They then ask for their cases back and try to stuff everything into their hand baggage, which is already full of THINGS. Please don't give them too many tips or you'll spoil my enjoyment.
