What an accolade to this New Labour Government and to Britain.

I won't say Great Britain as I truly believe that Blair succeeded in killing off the "Great" that once described this Country.

School children are out of control and all the Education Authority do is hide the issue. Most children in the school swear in every sentance. We have some children with behaviour problems ( as we are told to call it ) who have a carer all day. We have no disipline and no deterant for anything. The maximum penalty we can give a child is exclusion which is what they want anyway. Then when they return to school they are issolated for a day. I can see youralready perrishing at the thought of it.
No respect and no fear of reprisal. Forget blaming their parents, they can't do anything with them either. The child knows their rights, thanks to all the Do-Gooders. I am sorry to say that just talking to them will not make them model children. Disipline is needed as a final measure for thoses that will not listen. It is not child abuse. It is child control. Just look at what we have now created in our youth. Even the elderly are frightened to go out because our children have no rspect for them. Bring back disipline for all our sakes.

Well, a child would be very unwise to attack or abuse a teacher in Malaysia where I now live. There is still discipline in the schools here and the teaching profession is respected. We have indulged our children and spared the rod and look what we have got in return. Foul mouthed Knife wielding kids, child drug dealers, pregnant school girls and school children who verbally and physically abuse their teachers including murdering them.
Is it any wonder that the Muslim say we are a corrupt and decadent society that they want to change?

TEACHER, DON'T YOU LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!

It sounds quite scary to be a teacher these days. Either teachers are becoming softer or are the children becoming more violent? Or perhaps even the parents are to blame.

Re Pupils who carry weapons, maybe all children who have a history of violence and offensive weapons, they should be searched on arrival at schools in order to prevent this from happening?

Teachers should also encourage other children to inform them if they know of any other pupils in the school who carry weapons on their person. Maybe that could help matters a little.
