The traditional pub is dead...
Published: Tuesday November 20,2007 by westmalle
... the Smoking Ban has just about finished the pub off. We're left with cafe bars and what amounts to a collection of licensed restaurants. Unless you want to be deafened by music. The money the pubs are spending on entertainment, refurbs and food based stuff to get the punter in following the Smoking Ban WILL run out and the places will close...or only open weekends. Oh yes...and then there is the price! The tax on a pint is horrendous for the average working man.
