Do you honestly think that the utility companies give a monkeys if people are having to choose between heating and eating?

And not everyone can afford to insure their mortgage, so they will have to default on their payments.

Are the banks/building societies sympathetic? I don't think so...

.... my local teletex service this morning said that the Northern Rock repossessions level was much higher this year.

So in effect, the Government are booting out people who cannot afford to pay their mortgage then.

It doesn't matter how much people are paid, they do not want to spend it on excessively high utility bills and council taxes.

If the government nationalise anything, it should be our gas, electric and water companies.

There is NO regulation at all. I believe it was Gordon Brown (oh no, I mentioned him again!) who removed the cap on increases that other countries appear to have.

So once again, the buck stops at him.
