In a few words: Proud Englishman born and bred. Trying to keep a sense of humour and a stiff upper, whilst enduring the monumental cock-up NuLabour have foisted upon my nation.

I think this could apply to both sexes....

No 'sexist' comments intended here, but I read a report a few years back that said that if a man hits forty and he's still single, the chance of him meeting his perfect partner is greatly reduced.

It stated that by this age all the "decent" (quote) ladies will have been spoken for, and all he will be left with are the ones with shed loads of emotonal baggage who "hate all men". Yes, there are a LOT of blokes that are nutters too.

Personally, I don't hold with this "on the shelf" remark. Finding ones perfect partner (male or female) is probably the hardest thing in the world. I'm 41 and still single (my choice at present), but I always say that I'd rather be on my own and happy, rather than be with someone who didn't want to be with me or vice versa and one or both of us be miserable.....I speak from experience.
