That these practices only really came into being in the late 90s. Before that banking and its sticking to rules could be quite tedious for the employee. It seems that even though us ignorent punters knew the housing/mortgage bubble had to burst, that Clever Prudent Chancellor, lately Prime Minister Gordon Brown, never saw it coming.

As they say " There are none so blind as those who will not see". Now of course our "Brilliant " PM is trying to blame everyone and every thing but himself.

Nobody else in NuLabour wants to take up the poison chalice so he will cling to power until he is dragged kicking and screaming out of the door at No. 10, possibly by those nice young men, in their clean white coats.

Brown is proving harder to get rid of than Robert Mugabe.
