Drug Clasification

Published: Sunday September 28,2008 by RosieInLondon

Its time to get rid of this Classification of drugs, Drugs should have just three groups, Those on free for sale, those on prescription only, and illegal drugs.

If caught using illegal drugs, first offence, compulsory addiction treatment, no criminal record. 2nd offence arrested and chaged, treatment and probation. 3rd offence compulsory in patient treatment in a psychiatric hospital.

I also think there is a case for removing the POM Classification, as selling these only from a registered pharmacy would reduce the cost to the NHS as some richer people would rather buy their medication than queue at the surgery for repeat prescriptions.

Of course doctors prescriptions would still be available to those who need them.
