Should it be illegal to break manifesto promises? YES

Published: Tuesday September 23,2008 by RosieInLondon

When politicians publish a manifesto they are in effect making a moral commitment to the voters.

It is on this manifesto that many base their decision of whom to vote for.

Ipso facto, if/when politicians fail to keep the promises they made in their manifesto. They should be prosecuted for fraud and misrepresentation.

Of course as its the politicians who make the laws, it will never happen, it would be like turkeys voting for xmas.
