Gordon Brown is not on his own to blame for the credit crunch, George Bush runs the USA economy, he and his cabinet backed the American banks in lending unwisely, to falsely boost the US economy, the same as Brown did in the UK. They created an artificial Boom, which has been followed by the inevitable bust!.

If you keep adding pressure to a bubble, it will eventually go POP!

The thing is for over 10yrs Brown kept blowing his own trumpet, telling all and sundry that he had ended the Boom & Bust cycles that had plagued the UK economy since WW2. He has been prove that he was totally wrong and we are now in a worse state to cope with a recession than any other 1st world economy. Of course Brown is still spouting the lie, that our finances are in a strong position. His Attitude of "I can do no wrong" will lead us into a long painful recession, that will last for at least a decade.

His current solution is to borrow ever more money, increasing our national debt beyond sensible limits.
