This wretched, despicable Government

'All spin and no delivery' rolls on as usual with this awful, decrepit group of Labour politicians. Not only do they ignore the elderly (except their own Lords, of course) they tax them too.

**** Brown, who suffers from chronic hubrisitis, increased the pension for over 65 year olds to around £6,400 per year (average wage more like (£28,000 per year) he also increased the personal allowances in accordance with the CPI, I think.
Great, you may think, except the tax free allowance for a 65 year old pensioner is ONLY £6035 per year. So, this pile of shite hands over the entitlement of State Pension and then takes some of it back by taxing the same State Pension.
£6400 less the personal allowance of £6035, means that a pensioner actually has to pax tax on £365 of his STATE pension. I emphasise this as it is on the STATE pension ONLY. With no other income, a pensioner will still pay tax on his STATE pension. Now, how on earth can that be fair?
Tax allowances for pensioners should be raised to overcome this very sick anomaly. But will this trash do it?

While they sit in the lap of luxury with their overblown salaries and expenses and their official cars, we have to squat and live on the bones of our arses. Sounds like Soviet Socialism and Stalin all over again.

Labour, the party of the poor? The party to make you poor, more like!!! To call them rubbish would be an insult to our dustbin men and the country cannot wait for them to go.
