WHAT ELSE did you expect ?

Published: Sunday August 24,2008 by TrevorD

Yes, a 30% increase in tax since Labour came into "power", as they call it. ("Office", as the Tories and others refer to it.)
That was TOTALLY predictable. It was always the penchant of Labour governments to tax the behind off its citizens and then dish the money out to idle ne'er do wells, or else waste it on Stalinist control-freak bureaucracy and crazy social engineering schemes.
In short, Labour governments and Labour policies always screw up the economy, and nowhere is this more evident than in their determination to fleece money from the property industry.
Brown must go. Labour must go. High taxes and high government spending and meddling must go.
As in .... NOW.
