Suicide bombing as a tactic was made mainstream by the non-Muslim Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka. A bunch of non-Muslim members of the IRA have apparently just got off mudering a guy in a Belfast bar, perhaps because the witnesses were intiminidated. The guy that blew up Oklahoma City wasn't a Muslim. The British Nazi jailed for kiddie porn and bomb making wasn't a Muslim. The American religious nutters who blow up familiy planning centres aren't Muslims. The Colombian FARC aren't Muslims. The Israeli settlers aren't Muslims, but plenty of them seem to be terrorists.

That's not to say that there are no Muslim terrorists, or that any terrorism is a good thing. Like that needs saying.
