RELIGIOUS BUT NOT RIGHT WITH GOD?

That may sound strange to you, but there are many religious people "hiding" from God. They may be sincere, but sincerity is not enough, they need the truth of God's Word. So I do hope and pray right now that the Daily Express will not remove this clear message. It is one that is desperately needed by so many across my beloved Britain and the world at this time of the Church Age for time is running out and the doors are closing.

Some people think they are Christians automatically because they had Christian parents. Others presume that attending church or being baptised or sharing in Communion makes them Christians. These are all important Christian responsibilities but if they have never committed their lives to Christ their efforts are worthless.

Christianity is not a tradition nor do professing Christian values save a person. A person can be "religious" full of his own self righteousness and practice good works but God hates that kind of righteousness. Only by believing in the gospel that is: Christ died for our sins, was buried, raised on the third day, appeared to the Apostles and resurrected can a person be brought to saving faith and then repent of his unbelief and be saved.

The outward appearances of robes and gowns, crosses and incense is mere religiosity and will not save a person for eternity. This is all but empty ritual and cannot represent the true gospel.

John Wesley, the great evangelist of eighteenth century England, strove for years to make himself acceptable to God by his own efforts but he never found peace until he could say "I trusted Christ and Christ alone for my salvation.

On the other hand the Muslim's claim that Allah is the God of the Bible and that Islam arose from the religion of the prophets and apostles is refuted by solid, overwhelming archeological evidence. As such, it is sheer idolatry and must be rejected by all those who follow the Torah and Gospel.

Generally, the media prevent Christians from providing the truth of the gospel to the world and respond to the unbelievers in a far more positive way.

It would make all the difference to Britain if Gordon Brown was brought to saving faith but he is a man who makes decisions shared with others who prefer their pride-filled Godless secular ideologies. I understand his father was a minister of religion but there are many churches which contain people and preachers who do not believe and because they are unsaved cannot preach that which people need to hear so much today.

So this senior bishop can warn about "Christian values collapsing" but the primary need today is that both he and Archbishop Rowan Williams need to ensure they are preaching the truth. That truth does not lie in multi -faithism.

We are forbidden to worship with those who preach gross error. We can be deceived when we join in with those who are already embroiled in the great apostasy, prophesied so long ago and fulfilled today. We are saved only by faith through grace apart from works.

Rowan Williams for all his robes and outward externals of faith is very religious but not right with God. Until God opens the door, no man on this earth can open it, save Jesus Christ. Not Archbishops or synods, not its ceremonies, cathedrals, churches, chapels, pulpits, fonts, vestments, organs, endowments, money, kings, governments, magistrates or any act of favour whatsoever from the hand of man. For the true Church depends on nothing but Christ and His Spirit and they ever being with it the Church cannot die. The singular necessity of every Christian should be to glorify God. This truly awful witness to the world by this man with the label "Archbishop" who is considered to be the spiritual head of the error filled Church of England is that he justifies the comments he has made which are that Britain should adopt some aspects of Sharia law but then he is right into all religions whether they be Hindu or Muslim, Sioux or Crow all worshipping together (multi-faithism). Never mind that they all worship pagan gods. Does he not realise that all born again Christians talk about his unsaved state no matter how many miles away we are from London? I have no admiration for his lofty thoughts or his intellectualism for they betray the greatest scourge known to man and that is his insufferable pride for it keeps him from true heartfelt repentance.
