What a disgrace! How dare London police rought up Britons, lawful citizens too, for this farce? And a group of Chinese thugs surrounding the torch and protected by British police officers, beating up on Britons to keep them away? The Chinese ambassador taking another route because she was afraid? Who the heck do the Chinese think they are? And who permitted this?

The French got it right! I have lived in France for 5 years and NEVER would the French allow their police to treat them that way. The flame has been extinguished in Paris. Good for the French.

I'm ashamed to be English today, and that my brother is retired British police officer, a job which used to stand for something.

Brown should listened to Nicolas Sarkozy, and you can believe it that Sarkozy is watching what's going on in Paris. It could spread. I can't wait to see how the Germans will handle it.
