There's the difference between Britain and France

Published: Monday April 7,2008 by Rothaymere

I commented on this yesterday. The French police will not hassle its citizens for the Chinese, as did the London police. What they did in London was disgraceful. Protesters were arrested. Whatever happened to a free country, free speech? The right of people to object to what its country is about to do - pay homage to the Chinese at the Olympics. Really. And the Chinese pay homage to no one, they are killing Tibetans and protesters there. Is Gordon Brown totally out of touch with reality?

President Nicolas Sarkozy approached Brown on a boycotf of these Olympic "games" when he was in Britain on a visit. Brown refused. But the people of France are behind Sarkozy on that issue. Protesters there are not hauled off to jail. They'd better not be. There'd be a revolution.

Vive la France - and pour le courage!

The milksops in Britain don't have the stomach for standing up for what is right. And abuse in Tibet IS NOT RIGHT. GOT THAT BROWN?
